In 2011, 15,853 cancer survivors were directly impacted by CT Challenge programs.

Thousands more were helped by hospital partners, members of our Survivorship Network.

86 cents of every dollar spent was directed toward program services and grants.

In 2012, the CT Challenge will open its own Center for Survivorship, located in Southport, CT.

For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010, the Connecticut Challenge recognized more than $1,468,978 in revenues to support cancer survivors.

The CT Challenge provides grant support for:

Survivorship clinics and programs and Survivor Day celebrations at community based hospitals and cancer centers across the state who are members of the CT Challenge Survivorship Network.
The CT Challenge Center for Survivorship opening in Fairfield, CT in June 2012
College scholarships for cancer survivors through a grant to the Susan Fund
The CT Challenge Survivorship Summit, an annual event for medical professionals that brings together experts in survivorship to improve care for cancer survivors
The CT Challenge Speaker Series, educational, cultural and awareness raising events for cancer survivors
Our innovative website. Educating, motivating and guiding cancer survivors to qualified survivorship resources
Pilot research projects in cancer survivorship. One such grant to the Yale Cancer Center resulted in $2.5 million in addditional NIH funding to expand the study.
