Hartford Hospital Celebrates the Dedication of Family Caregivers

Caregivers are invited to talk, refresh and relax

The Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center recognizes the devotion family caregivers show their loved ones everyday.

Learning to take care of yourself while caring for your loved one is essential in staying strong and positive.

To honor the vital role that family caregivers play in patient's lives, caregivers of all kinds are invited to attend an informal discussion about the journey of caring closely for another person.
The program includes networking and sharing personal experiences with other caregivers, chair massages, reiki, relaxation techniques, and refreshments – all for free.

The program will run for three dates: Feb. 15, April 11, and June 11, 2012, from 10 am to noon, in the Taylor Conference Room at the Cancer Center, 85 Retreat Ave., Hartford. Valet parking is available at the Cancer Center entrance.
