Less Than Perfect

It's OK to admit it; you are less than perfect. Maybe you realized it early in life when you didn't get the highest grade on the test, missed that promotion at work, or messed up in a relationship. Maybe you realized it when you received your cancer diagnosis and saw your life taking a twist you hadn't planned for.
Michael J Fox said "I am careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for; perfection is God's business."
That's how I'd like you to think of your approach to fitness. Not as an unattainable goal, but as progress towards your personal goal.
Each day you set out to honor your body with exercise is a day you can be proud of your commitment to you and your self care.
It may have taken a scary diagnosis to turn your attention inward to your needs and your health, and the encouraging news is that it's never too late to make great strides toward a more healthful, fit life. Or, maybe you were always active and now struggle with returning to that "pre-cancer" fitness routine. Either way, give yourself permission to set out working on a new set of goals, ones that might seem underwhelming at first. You will be happy to see how those humble beginnings build a strong, fit and centered you.
Imperfection is where we live. It's OK to have days that don't exactly go the way you expected, frankly, it's called "life". It's the ability to stop, reassess and celebrate the small stuff that makes your life worth living and can help to fill your day with self love and acceptance. Now, go take a walk!
