A Note to Testicular Cancer Survivors
October 30, 2009
This is what survivorship research is all about, and there is no way to say it without it sounding scary. A recent study published in the British urological journal, BJUI, suggests that 1/4 of all testicular cancer survivors will face serious long-term effects such as neurological problems, hearing problems, or circulatory problems, but here is the catch....the long-term effects are most likely due to the treatments the survivors received, not the cancer itself.
The following link contains an audio interview with the author of the study; please take the time to listen to it.
