Connecticut Challenge seeks Cancer Survivors for survey

March 17, 2008

The Connecticut Challenge, a support organization for cancer survivors, is asking survivors to answer a 10-minute, online survey to help the organization better understand survivors’ special health concerns and needs. To take the survey, cancer survivors are encouraged to visit www.CTChallenge.org/survivorsurvey.

“Effective cancer treatments are, happily, creating a growing number of cancer survivors, but those treatments can be very harsh and survivors of all ages are at risk for suffering long term effects on their health and quality of life from both their cancer and the treatments,” said Bob Mazzone, CT Challenge Executive Director. “Through the development of very special survivorship clinics at Yale Cancer Center, we have taken the first steps to help survivors address their unique health needs. Before we take the next steps, we want to hear from survivors, through this survey, about their concerns and the resources they feel would benefit them the most,” Mazzone said.

Mazzone stresses that the survey, which is completely anonymous, is only for people who have been diagnosed with cancer by their physician and have completed their active treatments.
